Our ladies await a double match against the national team of Moldova at home and away within the Group 2 of League C.
“Two important matches against Moldova await us at home and away, we are preparing as much as possible, we want to show our best. The expectations for this match are high, the goal is to win both matches. We will go step by step, that means match by match. I expect to play a great match here in Skopje and I hope that we will make our fans happy”, says national team coach Aleksandar Andov.
“We are weakened by the absence of Gentjana Rochi, who suffered an injury in the last game for her club, but on the other hand, it will be a great opportunity for another player who will play in her place to show herself in a good light and assert herself in the national team”.
“These two matches with Moldova will be a great test for us and our potential. I believe in my players and I hope that we will achieve two victories”, concluded Andov, who became head coach of the national team in March.
Macedonia hosts Moldova on May 31 (Friday) at the Petar Miloshevski Training Center in Skopje with a kick-off at 17:00 CET. Then travels to Chisinau where on June 4 at the Zumbru stadium at 19:00 CET Moldova will host Macedonia.
In the first two matches in April, Macedonia won 4:3 away to Latvia, and then lost convincingly 5:0 at home to the group favorites Slovenia. At the same time the qualifiers are also Nations League 2024/2025.
