This move has been speculated for several weeks, but Russian club Amkar officially announced the transfer on their website earlier today.

The 22-year-old striker Marko Simonovski moves to the Russian league from Metalurg.  This move has been in the works for the past several weeks, and finally Amkar announced the transfer on its website earlier today.  Simonovski will wear #11 for his new club and Marko found himself on the bench during today’s encounter between Amkar and Kuban. The game is currently being played, so it’s possible that Simonovski could debut with an appearance in the 2nd half.

Amkar competes in the Russian top division.  The last Macedonian player to feature for that club was striker Stevica Ristikj.  This transfer is certainly a step up for Simonovski as the ever improving Russian league will provide a big challenge concerning his qualities.
