Aleksandar Trajkovski scored his first league goal for Zulte Waregem

In only the second round of the Belgian season, Aleksandar Trajkovski scored his first league goal in a Zulte Waregem uniform.

It did not take long, the 18 year old attacker Aleksandar Trajkovski scored his first goal for Zulte Waregem during the second round of the Belgian league.  Trajkovski received a good pass from his teammate Giuseppe Rossini in the 36th minute before he scored past the opposing keeper.  He scored the second goal for his team as Zulte Waregem leads 2:0 over OH Leuven and it’s currently halftime.  Trajkovski also started in the first round game and played 84 minutes but his team played a goalless draw away to Lokeren.  Trajkovski will turn 19 in about one month and will make his debut for the Macedonian national team on 10 August 2011 in the friendly against Azerbaijan.  He is being looked at as one of the big hopes to restore Macedonian football in a positive direction.

Trajkovski joined Zulte Waregem earlier this summer from Croatian club Inter Zaprešić for 1 million euros.  During his time with the Croatian club, he was invited to be a guest player for English giants Chelsea during a youth tournament.  He impressed and left a good impression as he scored an important goal to send Chelsea to the semi-finals of the tournament.  Trajkovski was seeking a move to Belgium or Netherlands this summer because those leagues are scouted heavily by the top leagues and he has a better chance of being discovered if he proves his worth during his time with Zulte Waregem.  Receiving consistent playing time was a must for Trajkovski and he made the right decision joining Zulte Waregem because it’s tough to be a regular at a top club because of the competition and that could hurt the development of a young player.
