Just one month ago Aleksandar Stankov moved to Hobro IK and immediately impressed in the three games he played for them as he scored two goals and showed talent. Hobro’s league rival Viborg FF also noticed Stankov’s performances and decided to snap up Stankov who had only a short-term deal with Hobro.

Stankov is a 21-year-old forward grown up in the Netherlands, but still he decided internationally to represent Macedonia and during the last years he played for Macedonia’s U19 and U21 national team together with his twin brother Antonio who currently plays for MVV Maastricht. Before moving to Denmark he was long time under contract with Dutch club Roda for whom he made two appearances in the Eredivisie.

The move to Viborg makes sense since this club is much more ambitious than Hobro. Hobro’s goal is to avoid the relegation whereas Stankov’s new club at the moment is on the fourth position and their target is the first Danish league.
