Aleksandar Lazevski continues to have bad luck with injuries and will be out of action for several more weeks.
During a recent training for Partizan, Aleksandar Lazevski aggravated his groin injury and he is expected to be out of action for an additional three weeks. He just returned to training a week ago and even scored a goal during a recent friendly but his problems with injuries continue and Partizan will not be able to count on Lazevski over the next several weeks. The current starting LB for Partizan is Vladimir Volkov. The thinking was that Lazevski would return as a starter to shore up the defense and Volkov would then more to left midfield since he also has the ability to play in midfield but that will be put to hold for now with the latest injury sustained by Lazevski.
The injury also forced Lazevski to withdraw from the Macedonian national team for the friendly against Azerbaijan on 10 August 2011. Lazevski has made five caps for the senior national team and has also played for the U21 team in the past as well. Injuries are nothing new for Lazevski who has been troubled by the injury bug several times and that has hurt his chances of cementing a starting place for Partizan. Aleksandar is known as a very good defender from the LB position but he doesn’t go forward much and that is one reason why Partizan added the offensive minded Volkov this summer to better complement Lazevski.
