New Albanian national team coach Cristian Panucci called up a 24 players squad for the upcoming qualifiers against Macedonia and Liechtenstein.
Albania hosts Liechtenstein on 2 September, while three days later will visit Macedonia. Igor Angelovski already announced the Macedonian squad
earlier last week, while his Italian colleague did the same today. He summoned 24 players of which only one from the domestic league. For the first time in the squad is Ohrid-born Valon Ahmedi who deserved a call with his great form in Slovenian champion Maribor. Besides him, there are two other debutantes in Hysen Memolla and Iván Balliu who is half Albanian and half Catalan. Both are defenders.
