New Macedonian U21 national team coach Aleksandar Tanevski announced his first list of summoned players as our young Lynxes will has a friendly and two qualifying matches.

Since Macedonia has a disastrous EURO qualifying campaign, the last matches, as the friendly, will be used to test players from the next generation. Tanevski summoned a total of 34 players, but 9 of them will be too old for the next qualifiers (Angelov and R. Murati are born in 2004, while Djekov, Filevski, Serafimov, Arizankoski, Nikolovski, Ristovski and Velichkovski are born in 2005).

“With the final two matches of the current qualifiers coming up, we want to give an opportunity to younger players who are set to be part of the next U21 generation. Every match for the national team must be played with the utmost responsibility, discipline, and a drive to achieve a result. That does not change, regardless of the circumstances or the stage of the campaign we are in. At the same time, it is our responsibility to build a team for the future in parallel. These matches offer a good opportunity to see which players we can count on for the next qualifiers and to give them a chance to gain international experience. We want to foster healthy competition and gradually prepare the next generation for the challenges that lie ahead,” said coach Tanevski.
