The Macedonian national team recorded a minimal drop in the latest FIFA rankings, which the world federation published immediately after the March window.

The Lynx suffered a 4:0 defeat against Denmark in the semi-final play-off for the 2026 World Cup, a debacle that cost them 7.15 points. They then played a goalless friendly against Ireland away, a result that earned them barely 0.63 points. With this, Macedonia, with 1,372.04 points, found itself in 67th place, one place lower than the previous rating.

The points lost are not many, and the minimal drop is due to the jump of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was behind us, and is now 65th. The Dragons earned 23.46 points for the two playoff draws against Wales and Italy.
