FIFA rankings: Macedonia jumps only one spot

The victory over Slovenia moved Macedonia only one place up on the FIFA rankings so the Lynx are now 68th.

Our national team played two matches the past period, both European qualifiers. First we defeated Slovenia at home 2:1 and later we lost at Poland with 2:0. Those results brought us only 5 points more than the September ranking which resulted in climbing just one place.

Macedonia is still second from bottom in the region, but are getting closer and closer to the rest. Albania, Slovenia, Montenegro and Bulgaria are just few places ahead.

Our next matches are in November when we first travel to Austria and then we host Israel. These two matches are last in the 2020 EURO qualifiers.
