Goran Pandev started on the bench for Napoli before he entered the game in the 106th minute to play the second 15 minute period of extra time. Chelsea forced extra time by leading 3:1 after 90 minutes and defender Branislav Ivanović scored the decisive goal to propel the English club to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Aleksandar Lazevski was not included in the Partizan squad due to an injury. Lazevski was hit in the kidney in the previous game which has caused him discomfort but the injury is not believed to be serious so Aleksandar should return to action soon.
