CSKA Sofia – Metalurg 3:0

During today’s friendly in Bulgaria, CSKA Sofia celebrated a comfortable 3:0 victory over Metalurg.

Metalurg did not prove much of a challenge for famous Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia.  The home side was better throughout the match and Metalurg was lucky in the 23rd minute as CSKA midfielder Boris Galchev hit the post with a shot from outside of the box.  In the 36th minute, the Metalurg RB lost the ball and that led to the first goal of the game.  Spas Delev received the ball, dribbled past Metalurg CB Goran Dragović, and scored with a shot past keeper Igor Pavlović.  Just before halftime, CSKA added the second goal with Brazilian Michel Platini scoring on a volley following a corner kick from the right.  Finally, in the 78th minute, Anton Karachanakov scored the third goal for CSKA with a shot from about 30 meters that went past the Metalurg backup keeper Andreja Efremov who did not even move.
