Lazevski returned for Partizan

Aleksandar Lazevski has finally recovered from his injury for Partizan and played during today’s friendly against Cagliari.

With the international break, many clubs across Europe decided to play friendlies in order to remain sharp.  Partizan was one of those teams as they traveled to Italy to take on Serie A side Cagliari.  Lazevski started at LB and played until the 70th minute when he was replaced by another Macedonian in Stefan Askovski.  Partizan recorded an impressive 1:0 victory at the Stadio Sant’Elia in Cagliari, Italy.

Aleksandar Lazevski is the second choice at LB for the Macedonian national team behind Goran Popov.  Lazevski is known as a very good defensive player but he does not offer much going forward.  Aleksandar was born in Serbia but has Macedonian origins so he decided to represent Macedonia internationally.  As for Askovski, he is only 19 years old and also plays LB.  He joined the Partizan youth system from Macedonian club Metalurg.  He spent last year at FK Teleoptik, a club in the Serbian second division where Partizan sends many of their young players to gain experience.
