From the summer of 2021, Igor Angelovski is no longer the head coach of the Macedonian senior national football team, after previously being on the bench for 6 years. It is not a secret that he had bad relations with the new management of FFM, so it was expected that his contract would not be renewed after the European Championship, to which he led Macedonia through League D of the UEFA Nations League.
The well-known Skopje lawyer Aleksandar Tortevski revealed on Twitter that FFM did not want to pay Angelovski the agreed prize money, the one for the historic entry in the EURO. The popular Mrme had to seek justice in court, and he got it.
“After the historic success of the national team and the qualifying for the European Championship, the first thing president Sejdini did was to expel the coach, and he awarded all the members of the FFM board with prizes of 20,000 each. By the way, he didn’t want to pay Igor Angelovski the prize money, so we had to go to court,” tweeted Mr. Tortevski.
Apart the board members, FFM paid bonuses to the players and everyone involved in the national team.
