Goran Popov played the entire game for Dynamo Kyiv who suffered another disappointing result against Rubin Kazan and the Ukrainian club was eliminated from the Champions League. Popov was active early in the match and attempted a shot in the 2nd minute but it was saved by the opposing keeper. Dynamo Kyiv will now focus on the Europa League as all the teams eliminated from the Champions League during the third round of qualifications will participate in the play-off round of the less prestigious Europa League.
UEFA Champions League, Third qualifying round, Slovan Bratislava – APOEL 0:2
Ivan Trickovski started for APOEL and played until the 84th minute when he was replaced by Esteban Solari. Trickovski provided the assist on the first goal for APOEL in the 58th minute when he sent a nice through ball to Ailton Almeida who then showed good finishing skills by scoring past the Slovan keeper. Trickovski should have scored a goal in the 82nd minute when he received a good low pass from Gustavo Manduca but Tricko’s effort from close range went just wide of the goal. APOEL advances to the play-off round of the Champions League and if they are fortunate enough to beat their next opponents, the Cypriot club will reach the group stages of the Champions League for the second time in the last three years.

UEFA Champions League, Third qualifying round, Partizan – Genk 1:1
Aleksandar Lazevski remains out with an injury for Partizan. Lazevski recently played in a friendly for Partizan but the manager of the Serbian club still did not feel comfortable using Lazevski in such a high intensity match. Partizan was eliminated 3:2 on aggregate and will now focus on the play-off round of the Europa League.
UEFA Champions League, Third qualifying round, Maribor – Maccabi Haifa 1:1
Agim Ibraimi started in right midfield for Maribor and played all 90 minutes as his side was narrowly eliminated from the Champions League. Ibraimi once again provided the assist for Maribor as his free kick in the 32nd minute was met by striker Tavares whose initial effort was saved but he scored on the rebound. Ibraimi has already become both the free kick and corner kick taker for Maribor and his team threatened on several occasions from set pieces. In the 75th minute, Ibraimi took another dangerous free kick but his teammate’s header from a good position went high over the goal. Then, in the 90th minute, Ibraimi took a corner and a header by one of the Maribor players went just inches over the goal. In the end, just like Partizan, Maribor was eliminated 3:2 on aggregate and will now focus on reaching the group stages of the Europa League.
UEFA Europa League, Third qualifying round, Gaz Metan – Mainz 1:1 (Gaz Metan advanced 4:3 on penalties)
Nikolce Noveski played the entire game for Mainz who suffered a disappointing result and were eliminated from the Europa League. Both games finished 1:1 so it went into penalty kicks where the Romanian club Gaz Metan came out on top by converting one more penalty than their opponents.

Martin Bogatinov was an unused substitute for Karpaty Lviv as he was the #2 keeper behind Andriy Tlumak. Karpaty Lviv advanced to the play-off round by winning 5:1 on aggregate.
UEFA Europa League, Third qualifying round, Thun – Palermo 1:1
Muhamed Demiri played all 90 minutes for Thun as a defensive midfielder and helped his side eliminate Palermo from the competition. It was 3:3 on aggregate after the two games but Thun advanced because of the away goals rule.
UEFA Europa League, Third qualifying round, Spartak Trnava – Levski 2:1 (Spartak Trnava advanced 5:4 on penalties)
Darko Tasevski was an unused substitute for Levski. His club was eliminated from the competition on penalty kicks after each team won 2:1 at home. Due to his recent bad form, the Levski manager decided to bench Tasevski. The club is desperately trying to sell Tasevski but no club has been willing to match the asking price of Levski up to this point.

Kristijan Naumovski was not called up by Dinamo Bucureşti as Criatian Bălgrădean started in goal while George Curcă was on the bench as the #2 keeper. Dinamo Bucureşti barely got past Varaždin to advance to the next round of the Europa League.

Vladimir Dimitrovski was not among the 18 players called up by Mladá Boleslav who were eliminated from the Europa League by losing 5:2 against AEK Larnaca over the two games.
UEFA Europa League, Third qualifying round, Maccabi Tel Aviv – Željezničar 6:0
Perica Stanceski played the entire game for Željezničar and also picked up a yellow card in the 27th minute. His side suffered a convincing defeat away to Maccabi Tel Aviv and was eliminated from the competition.
UEFA Europa League, Third qualifying round, Austria Wien – Olimpija Ljubljana 3:2
Dragan Cadikovski started for Olimpija Ljubljana and played until the 87th minute when he was replaced by Stefan Smiljanić. Cadikovski provided the assist on the second goal but it wasn’t enough as his team was still eliminated by losing 4:3 on aggregate over the two games.

Nderim Nedzipi started on the bench for Qarabağ before he entered the game in the 76th minute replacing Rashad Sadiqov. His club was eliminated 4:2 on aggregate but they left the competition on a positive note by winning this game 1:0 thanks to a goal by Bakhtiyar Soltanov in the 87th minute.

Vladimir Dimitrovski was an unused substitute for Mladá Boleslav. Over the past couple of games, Dimitrovski has been playing for the Mladá Boleslav B team but he made the bench for the first team in this game. However, he did not get a chance to play as he stayed on the bench for the entire game.
