The season started on the East with Belasica and Osogovo winning furiously, while newcomers Napredok Radovo and Bregalnica Delchevo also celebrated.
From the 18 clubs that participated last season, now only 14 are playing. Tiverija won the play-offs and got promoted to the Second League, while Babi after only one season in the Second League got relegated and joined the East again. Newcomers are Napredok from the village of Radovo and Bregalnica from Delchevo. Tri Cheshmi, who quit the league last season after playing half of the games, together with relegated Malesh are missing, but 4 other clubs who had avoided relegation didn’t enter the new season: 1-vi Maj, Zrnovka, AGROS and surprisingly Vasilevo who fought for promotion and ended second. Astibo, who originally got relegated, showed interest to play again as many places were open and was given a chance.
