This season a total of 31 teams have registered for participation, one less than the required 32. Therefore, according to the Competition Propositions, the first round will be skipped by the defending champion Sileks. Shkëndija is not participating in the Cup this season due to the suspension it received for not showing up for the medal ceremony at last season’s final.

Round 1 pairs:

Ovche Pole (3) – Vardar (1)
Pobeda (V) (3) – Struga (1)
Kroschu Sport (3) – Tikvesh (1)
Mogila (3) – Arsimi (1)
BVK Konjare (3) – Bashkimi (1)
Studeniçan (3) – Pelister (2)
Venec (3) – Brera Strumica (2)
Vlaznimi Junior (3) – Makedonija GjP (2)
Vardar (N) (3) – Rabotnichki (2)
Sasa (3) – Shkupi (2)
Teteks (2) – Bregalnica (1)
Kozhuf (2) – Skopje (1)
Det. Plachkovica (2) – Shkëndija 77 (1)
Novaci (2) – Ohrid Lychnidos (2)
Osogovo (2) – Belasica (2)

In parentheses is the level at which each club is playing in the new season.

The first round matches will be played on 1 and 2 September, with the exception of the Kroschu Sport – Tikvesh and Mogila – Arsimi duels, which will be played on 24 September and due to the participation of the Bitola team in the UEFA Regions’ Cup qualifiers in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The hosts in this round are the lower-ranked clubs, but the FFM emphasizes that the hosts must organize the matches in stadiums that are at least approved for playing second-league matches.

A novelty this season is that only one match will be played until the grand final, i.e. there will be no return legs. If a match ends in a draw after the end of the regular 90 minutes, a penalty shootout will immediately be taken. The past three seasons, the semi-finals have been played with return legs.
