The first league goes on a long winter break with Vardar on top whose lead fell on +4 after Sileks managed to hold them in Skopje and Shkendija defeated Pelister.
The Round 18 played today brought end on the first half-season in the Macedonian top flight. Leaders Vardar disappointed its fans by drawing Sileks. The visitors from Kratovo stunned the holders early in the 2nd minute when U21 national team player Filipovski scored. Brazilian Juan Felipe equalized after half an hour, but that was all that Vardar did at this game.
Second-placed Shkendija seized the occasion to reduce the difference at the top to 4 points. A lone goal by Alimi four minutes after the break was enough to overcome Pelister.
Shkupi continues to fall apart. Today they even lost by Мakedonija GjP in Chair, a game that they were favourites to win. Jasharoski brought the lead to the Lions, while Aliou Traoré’s red card in the 28th minute force Shkupi to play with 10 men. Just four minutes later Makedonija doubled the lead and recorded a very important win over a direct relegation rival.
Bregalnica and Rabotnichki played an interesting goalless draw in Shtip. Both teams could win the points, but yet none managed to find the back of the net.
Gafuri was the hero for Renova who with two late goals defeated Pobeda away to escape the relegation battle.
