Boban Jancevski from Vardar is the best striker so far putting the ball in the goal 8 times in 10 matches. De Brito from Makedonija follows up with 7 goals, of which 2 were from the white spot. Armend Alimi from Milano has delivered most assists so far, 5. At this moment, we would like to introduce to you the new part in the stats we have been gathering – the MacedonianFootball Points®. (goals+assists) On that list the first place is shared by Jancevski and Washington, both with 8 points. Washington had 4 assists and 4 goals so far. 6 players have scored own goals so far. Dimov from Pelister and Postolov from Turnovo have managed to collect 5 yellow cards on 10 matches, while record-holder in red cards is undoubtedly Krstev from Turnovo who, somehow, managed to receive 3 red cards so far! Renova’s players have collected the most yellow cards (36) while Pelister’s the least – only 17. Of course, Turnovo tops the red-cards list with 5 so far, while Metalurg and Sileks players still haven’t received a red card.
Players worth watching in the future
Of course, he is not the only one responsible for Makedonija’s first place – but with his 204 cms 21 years old Washington is surely an attraction on the pitch. Despite he is extremely tall and is of course a problem to every defender, he has great technique and he showed that with assisting on 4 goals. ‘Makedonski Sport’ already reported that other teams are interested in him and maybe even for the winter break we will be watching Washington in Bulgaria.
18-years-old Nestoroski from Pobeda has scored 3 goals and is the team top-scorer. He surely looks like a new emerging talent from the Prilep football school. Maybe Napredok are not near the top of the table but it seems like if their keeper Karamacoski wasn’t between the posts on most of the matches, they might have been even lower. He surely produced many great saves. In this line, we must mention the young Trajce Nikov from Pelister. He is slowly turning into a solid goalkeeper and a possible national team member, after he already earned a place in the youngsters.
Of course, this list is far from complete, but we only wanted to show some of the players that have played good football and were not mentioned a lot or at all in the past. Players like De Brito, Kirovski, Milisavljevic, Dameski, Levkov… must be paid tribute, too, but that way we can continue the list for a long way.
