On a request by Vardar and Skopje, FFM postponed their matches that were scheduled for Thursday’s Round 25.
Both clubs have players on international duty that will have games on Tuesday and therefore think that they can’t use them right on Thursday. Additional problem is that most of these players are U21 which affects the rule for fielding a youth player in the first eleven on every game.
Obviously, Vardar has more players in the national teams, while Skopje has only 3, but they need them in the relegation fight. Vardar has also two played with the Armenian national team.
Skopje’s players on current NT duty:
Hristijan Stevkovski (U19 – keeper)
Esmin Lichina (U21 – defender)
Benjamin Demir (U21 – attacker)
Vardar’s players on current NT duty:
Metodija Velkovski (U19 – keeper)
Kristijan Toshevski (senior – defender)
Darko Velkovski* (senior – defender)
Filip Antovski (U19 – defender)
Todor Todoroski (U19 – defender)
Hovhannes Hambardzumyan* (Armenia – defender)
Besar Iseni** (U21 – midfielder)
Filip Stojchevski (U19 – midfielder)
Jovan Popzlatanov (U21 – winger)
Bojan Kolevski (U19 – attacker)
Tigran Barseghyan (Armenia – attacker)
*Velkovski and Hambardzumyan are suspended from Vardar’s first team, so they won’t play anyway.
**Iseni got injured on Friday’s clash with Russia so he is back with the club.
FFM accepted their request and postponed their games. Those matches are Skopje – Shkendija and the Derby of Macedonia between Pelister and Vardar. It is not known on which date they will be played. Without these two games, only three will be played on Thursday.
