Today FFM made the draw for the 2025/26 season in the Macedonian top flight.

It was legendary player Goran Pandev drawing the lots, and in the first round, with his help, fortune decided to be played the biggest Macedonian derby, Vardar against Pelister.

Round 1 matches:

Tikvesh – Rabotnichki
Bashkimi 1947 – Arsimi
Struga – Makedonija GjP
Shkëndija – Shkupi
Sileks – Brera Strumica
Vardar – Pelister

The 2025/2026 season begins on Friday, 8 August, with the FFM to additionally determine which matches will be played on which day (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

As already announced, the VAR system will be used this season.

This season will be 3 teams directly relegated at the end with 2 entering a promotion/relegation play-off against two second league sides. This is because from next season the 1.MFL instead of 12 teams will feature 10 teams.
