Left-back Ardian Cuculi will complete his transfer to Partizani on Monday, Albanian media reported earlier today.
Ardian Cuculi became a free agent this summer when he couldn’t agree on a new contract with Shkendija. The two sides wanted to get a deal done, but finances proved to be a big obstacle as Shkendija was not willing to pay what Cuculi was seeking. Thus, Ardian set his sights on moving abroad.
Albanian club Partizani showed the most interest in Cuculi since their new manager this season, Shpëtim Duro, was in charge of Shkendija last year. Duro, therefore, knows Ardian’s qualities and made it a priority to sign him. Now, media in Albania reported earlier today that Cuculi will be presented as the newest signing by Partizani on Monday.
Cuculi, who turns 27 years old next month, made his debut for the Macedonian national team last month in the friendly against Cameroon. Since then, he has added three more caps in the friendlies against Qatar and China (twice). Manager Boshko Gjurovski specifically singled out Cuculi as one of the few players who left a good impression from the domestic league players that received a chance over the past month.
