Weekend internationals performances

Stevica Ristić won the Korean Cup with his team Pohang Steelers! They’ve beat Gyeongnam with 2:0 in the final. That’s first trophy for the Macedonian national team striker with the Steelers. Goran Pandev played a good match for Lazio and helped his team to beat Palermo. Sikov won in Cyprus, while Goran Popov’s team was trashed in Holland.


Italy, Serie A, Lazio – Palermo 1:0
Goran Pandev played the whole game for Lazio. In the 73rd minute he was fouled by Cesare Bovo in the box, but the referee did not showed on the spot.

Holland, Eredivisie, Sparta Rotterdam – Heerenveen 4:1
Goran Popov played the full 90 minutes for Heerenveen and got a yellow card in the 14th minute.

Greece, Souper Lika Ellada, O.F.I. Kriti – Panathinaikos 0:3
Jovan Kostovski got in instead Romanian international Cosmin Bărcăuan in the 64th minute when the score was 0:2.

Israel, Ligat ha’Al, Hakoach Amidar – Maccabi Petah Tikva 2:2
Boban Grncarov played the whole game for Petah Tikva in this interesting match.

South Korea, Korean FA Cup 1/2 final, Pohang Steelers – Daegu 2:0
Stevica Ristić played until the 65th minute for Pohang. With this win Pohang advanced into the final of the Korean FA Cup where they faced Gyeongnam for the trophy.

Stevica Ristić won the Korean Cup! He played until the 80th minute when he was taken of because he played with an injury, but the most important is that he gave everything for his team and although did not scored, he is a cup winner. With this trophy, Pohang Steelers next season will play in the Asian Champions League as Cup winners.
