The Macedonia women’s national team recorded another defeat against Slovenia in the last round of group C2 for EURO2025 qualifiers.

Slovenia was better team on the field and they deservedly won the three points. Early in the beginning of the match, Slovenian captain Prašnikar in just three minutes destroys Macedonia’s hopes for a good result. She scored an opener in the 3rd minute and three minutes later she scored another goal with a beautiful shot from outside the box. Korošec increased the lead in the 35th minute and in the 71st minute Kastelec set the final result of the match. Maksuti had the only chance for Macedonia in the 44th minute but her shot just passed near the post.
After all, it seems that the dropped points at home against Latvia and Moldova were decisive for further play-off match. After Latvia win against Moldova today, the Red Lynxes finished third in the group.
