The draw for the second edition of the UEFA Women’s Nations League was held today in Nyon, Switzerland.

The Macedonian women’s national team will play against well known opponents Latvia and Kosovo, within the group 6 of the League C. So far, Macedonia played five matches against Latvia (4 wins and 1 loss) and ten matches against Kosovo (1 win, 2 draws and 7 losses).

The first match from this group will be played in February 2025. The first-placed team will be promoted to League B and the runner-up from the group has a chance to play in promotion play-offs, depending on the results achieved.

The national team coach Aleksandar Andov gave his opinion of the group opponents, right after the draw:

– These are opponents who are well known to us and with whom we were in a group in the past two qualifying cycles.

– I think now is the right time to take a step forward and succeed in winning the much desired first place in the group. I believe that we can, we know how and we have the quality for that.
