Goalkeeper Aleksandar Vrteski signed on loan for A-League side Newcastle Jets.

The Newcastle Jets have signed former Macedonian U21 national team player Vrteski as cover for the Club’s injured shot-stoppers. Last he was under contract with Persija Jakarta from the Indonesian Premier League.

Some years ago the 24-year-old goalkeeper was part of Pobeda Prilep for which he played 20 games in the Macedonian first league. During his stay in Macedonia he accepted the offer from the Macedonian football federation to be part of Macedonia’s U21, before he was a member of Australia’s U17 and U20 national teams.
