Vojvodina manager Dejan Vukićević will stick by Daniel Mojsov despite heavy pressure to bench him for the mistakes in the Partizan game earlier in the month.

At today’s press conference, manager Dejan Vukićević told the following to Vojvodina’s official website about Mojsov, “I’m not a coach to a player in Mojsov, who was in the team of the year last season and is a current Macedonian international, that will remove him from the squad due to the obvious errors which ultimately resulted in our loss against Partizan.  I am sure, that for this decision, I have the undivided support of everyone at the club, to get Mojsov on the right track.  Errors are part of football games as without them, there would be no goals.  That means that on Sunday in the road game against Rad in Banjica, Mojsov will be paired in the centre of our defense with Dejan Karan with Nemanja Supić as the goalkeeper.”

Vojvodina vs. Partizan is one of the biggest derbies in Serbia and many of the Vojvodina fans were upset at the errors by Mojsov and wanted him to be removed from the squad.  Vojvodina lost the game 2:1 with Mojsov being at fault on both goals.  However, the manager tried to quiet that talk today and announced that he will stick by Mojsov and Daniel will start Sunday’s road game against Rad.

Mojsov recently played all 90 minutes for the Macedonian national team in the 1:1 home draw against Slovakia on 11 October.  To date, he has made 12 appearances for the senior national team.
