Veendam fired Mile Krstev

Mile KrstevMile Krstev, the 29 years old midfielder is no longer player of BV Veendam after the club decided to release him because of driving under influence of alcohol.

Krstev played in the Netherlands since the season 1997/98 and spent 4 seasons in SC Heerenveen, 4 in FC Groningen and from 2005/06 he was at 2nd league club BV Veendam. Before that he was playing at PAE Athinaikos in Greece.

Last Thursday, Krstev was stopped by the police and it was revealed that he was driving with 2.2 promiles of alcohol in his blood. Earlier that day, he had called the club and had said that he wont make it to the training sesion because he was feeling sick.

The official note from BV Veendam was that the club doesn't want to have anything to do with a drunken player and a lier.

Mile Krstev is born od 13th of May 1979 in Negotino. He started his career in FK Pobeda Prilep. For the national team of Macedonia he has played 22 matches and has scored 2 goals.
