Vardar officially unveiled its new training center on Saturday that the club hopes will lead to better days in the future.
Saturday was an important day for Vardar. They opened their brand new training center which Vardar hopes will lead to success on the international stage in competitions such as the Champions League and Europe League.
The players and coaches will have ideal conditions to train and get better. Football infrastructure has been a huge problem in Macedonia, it still is to a large extent, but Vardar decided to do something about it. With the help of the government in securing land and the investment of Vardar owner Sergey Samsonenko, the project got done for a cost of four million Euros, according to the club website.
The training center will feature two pitches, one artificial and one natural surface, four locker rooms, three apartments, sixteen rooms, fitness and spa areas, administration office and a restaurant. Below are some photos from the inside:

Samsonenko, the players of Vardar, the mayor of Skopje, the Prime Minister of Macedonia, the President of FFM and many others were present for the occasion. Also there was national team manager Igor Angelovski who still happens to manage Rabotnichki, a rival of Vardar, at this time. However, this construction was a win for football in Macedonia, so representatives from other clubs were in attendance to show support.
Shkendija has also expressed the desire to have its own training center. Hopefully that will happen in the foreseeable future as well. It would be good for the growth of domestic football, something that is much needed.
