Aleksandar Vasoski has reached personal terms with Vardar but the problem remains getting out of his contract with Kavala.
Defender Aleksandar Vasoski put pen to contract on a 2 year deal with Kavala earlier this summer. However, soon thereafter, Kavala was relegated to the fourth Greek division for match fixing. That left Vasoski’s future up in the air as Kavala appealed the decision but their appeal was rejected. Kavala still has Vasoski’s documents but the club is in chaos so it will be tough for Vardar to contact Kavala to release Vasoski from his contract.
Vasoski is ready to return to Vardar and has already agreed personal terms with the famous Macedonian club. Since Kavala was relegated to the Greek fourth division, each player that signed in the summer became a free agent but the club still has to release their documents so the player can then sign with another team. This is the biggest stumbling block facing Vasoski at the moment but the situation will hopefully get ironed out in the near future.
Vardar has high ambitions this season as they want to win the league title and compete in the Champions League qualifications for next year. The management of the club felt that it was important to establish some credibility by signing some former players who were popular with the fans. Vardar already signed Vlatko Grozdanoski and now hopes to complete the transfer of Aleksandar Vasoski.
