Following the rather unsuccessful episode with Neftçi in Azerbaijan, Shikov has decided to return to Macedonia and sign a 6-months deal with Rabotnichki. On his promotion, Vanche stated that he believes he did the right choice for him at this moment, and decided to turn down the offers from Kazakhstan as at this stage his main goal was to find a club where he will get a regular playing time. For Shikov, this will be his third club in Macedonia after having previously played for Tikvesh, where he started off his career in 2002, as well as for Pobeda in season 2006-07.

Rabotnichki should be a good opportunity for Shikov to get some playing action and to gain back his old form, after getting little playing time at his last club in the past few months, which resulted in Macedonia’s vice-captain being benched on the last World Cup qualifier against Spain.

This will also be a big reinforcement for Rabotnichki who had a rather quiet transfer period so far, having brought only one other player this winter in the name of Benjamin Demir.
