Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson liked what he saw from Sikov during the Ermis vs. Ethnikos Achnas game this past Saturday.

Vance Sikov started in his usual CB position for Ethnikos Achnas and made his presence known to Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson.  Although Sikov only played 50 minutes because of a leg injury that forced him to be substituted, he showed his value to Megson.  Sikov will soon like to make his choice for a new team and two teams, Sheffield Wednesday and Cypriot giants APOEL, have expressed the most interest in signing Sikov.

Sikov could become a replacement for fellow Macedonian CB Boban Grncarov at APOEL but Sikov is thought to be preferring a move to England to jumpstart his career. Sikov will be getting married on May 21, 2011 and there are some whispers that he would like to make his decision on a new team before the wedding.

As for Sikov, he is known as being a player with good character who works hard and is a solid team player.  He is fairly durable and hasn’t missed many games due to injuries.  Sikov does have a tendency to pick up yellow cards but not because of a temper, just aggressive play and not being afraid of contact.
