U21 squad unveiled for Northern Ireland test

Milevski (R) and the FFM spokesman; photo: FFMBlagoja Milevski, the manager of the U21 national team, announced his squad for the October 13 qualifier against Northern Ireland.

Macedonia U21 will count on 22 players for the forthcoming qualifier against Northern Ireland, to be played on the road. Milevski made some changes which resulted from suspensions/injuries and players being without clubs.

In addition to Dorian Babunski and Filip Pivkovski, Hristijan Denkovski was also not summoned this time. All three players remain without clubs, so Milevski wants them to solve that before they return to the team. Darko Velkovski is suspended after his red card against Ukraine. That’s why his name is missing. Meanwhile, Dejan Iliev and Valmir Nafiu drop out with injuries.

David Babunski, meanwhile, found himself on the initial roster, but it remains to be seen whether he will be withdrawn, like the two September fixtures. There is no international break during the Spanish third division as Barcelona B is in action during that time. As a reminder, David was also called up in the last squad, but later asked to be withdrawn due to club obligations.
