In what used to be an even match, Macedonia played 1:1 against Estonia. The match lacked many serious chances, and the score was opened by Milan Ristovski in the 26th minute to give Macedonia a 1:0 lead. However, shortly before the halftime break, Estonia managed to equalize through a goal in the 44th minute by Marko Lipp, after a well taken corner kick. In the second half, Macedonia had the chance to win the game after they were awarded a penalty kick, but Davor Zdrakovski’s attempt was saved by the Estonian keeper, bringing the game to a 1:1 tie.

Macedonia finished this tournament sharing the 4th position with Kazakhstan, both of them having finished the cup with 1 point and a 2:5 goal ratio. The cup was won by Ukraine by 7 points, whereas Latvia and Estonia shared the second position with 5 points and same goal difference. It is expected that coach Blagoja Milevski arranges another final test in June, before the qualifications kick off in September with the match against Faroe Islands.
