Bosnia-Herzegovina U21 and Macedonia U21 played a friendly match today in Istočno Sarajevo. On a really bad pitch, the home team dominated the match and celebrated a convincing 5:0 win.

Zolotić opened the scoreline in 9th minute, when he fired a great shot after collecting a ball from a corner kick leaving Efremov helplessly watching the ball.

David Babunski had a good chance to equalize before half-time, but his shot from the right edge of the box went just wide. Minute before half-time, Mešanović used a great through ball sent by Maletić, was faster then Dragarski and sent the ball low past Efremov for a 2:0 lead.

In the second half, similar picture. Duljević was not selfish in the box and managed to find Kunić whose first attempt was blocked, but he did not made a mistake twice and the home team were already up by 3. But, they did not stopped there. Čajić made it 4:0 in the 71st minute, when he sent a powerful shot from inside the box. 7 minutes prior to this goal, Macedonia remained with 10 players on the pitch after Vardar’s Mite Cikarski received a red card.

Home team captain Grahovac set the final score of 5:0 when he successfully converted a penalty in 87th minute.

This was Macedonia’s second defeat in the two friendly matches in March, after previously losing to Turkey. What concerns most is the high number of conceded goals. The defenders allowed 10 goals in 2 matches, scoring only 3 in return.
