Macedonia will compete in the Group B together with Portugal, Serbia and Spain.
The draw for the 2017 U21 EURO took place today in the city of Krakow, one of the 6 hosts cities that Poland choose for the finals. For the first time in the history of this competition, Macedonia participated after our boys qualified by winning the qualification Group 3 ahead of France, Island, Ukraine, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The young Lynx will face the likes of Portugal, Serbia and Spain in a battle for the first place in order to advance in the semifinals as only the best runner-up will join them.
As a team with the lowest coeficient, Macedonia was placed in the last Pot 3 together with defending champions Sweden, the World Cup holders Serbia, Italy, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Each group got two teams from this pot that acted as a joint pot instead of having Pot 3 and Pot 4.
