The young Macedonians opened the match at the “Petar Miloševski” stadium excellently and took the lead with Elezi’s goal after a nice action with Hamza, but then the Swedes completely took over the rhythm of the game. With two quick goals by Richie Omorowa in the 32nd and 33rd minute, the guests made a turnaround and went into halftime with a 1:2 advantage.
At the start of the second half, Macedonia played more offensive, but that did not bring results, on the contrary, Momodou Sonko increased the lead for Sweden in the 60th minute and resolved all dilemmas. Until the end, Sweden skillfully controlled the match and with the goal of Amin Boudri in the 79th minute set the final score to 1:4.
Goran Stanić’s team remains on the fifth position in Group E with three points, and in the next round they will play against the leaders, the Polish national team.
