Macedonian U19 and U17 national teams got their opponents for the 2016 EURO qualifications.
The U19s were allocated in the second pot, the B (there were only two). They were later drawn in the Group 4 alongside Italy (Pot A), England (Pot A) and Finland (Pot B). The qualifications tournament will be held from 8 to 13 October 2015 and the host nation will be Macedonia. The top two in each group along with the third-placed team with the best record against the leading pair will join Spain in the elite round. Germany will organize the final tournament where only 7 teams will qualify.
The U17 national team was as well placed into the weaker pot and ended up in the Group 12. They will also face Italy (Pot A) plus Scotland (Pot A) and Bulgaria (Pot B). The qualifications tournament will be held from 21 to 26 October 2015 and the host nation will be our eastern neighbour Bulgaria. The format is a bit different from the U19 qualifications: the top two in each group along with the five third-placed teams with the best record against the leading pair will join Germany in the elite round in spring 2016. That will eventually decide the 15 teams to join hosts Azerbaijan in the finals that May.
