After the heavy first defeat in the first friendly, Macedonia U19 bounced back with a 1:1 draw against Slovakia U19.
Macedonia U19 (actually U18, will be U19 for the next qualifications tournament), after the heavy defeat in the first game, had a chance to redeem itself today in their second and final friendly against Slovakia U19, also played in Skopje.
Macedonia had a chance to take the first lead in the 36th minute through Konstantin Chesmedjiev, but his penalty shot was saved by the Slovakia keeper. Several minutes later, Slovakia did take the lead when Robert Matejka netted a goal in the 41st minute. In the second half, the visitors saw a red card which let Macedonia play with an extra player for about 30 minutes. The equalizing goal did come in the final moments of the match when Tauljant Sulejmanov scored on a rebound after the Slovak keeper saved the initial penalty.
