Macedonian and Slovenian U19 national teams played a 2:2 draw in their first friendly match.
After a bad first half in which Macedonia U19 found themselves two goals behind, Mario Vujovikj’s players managed to bet back in the game and fought for a 2:2 draw.
Žan Nikolič opened the scoreline as early as minute one, while Alen Ožbolt doubled the lead in 38th minute. However, in the second half the home team played more organized and managed to get back in the game. Slobodan Bocevski in the 63rd minute pulled one back and then 6 minutes later Petar Petkovski set the final score of 2:2.
Macedonia played the match with the following line-up: Gjorgjev Dushan, Bocevski Slobodan, Alomerovikj Sabahudin (Amamovikj Aleksa), Ivanovski Miran (Kochoski Valentin), Terziev Goran (Digalovski Darko), Ilievski Antonio, Chavoli Andrian (Demir Benjamin), Cheshmedjiev Konstantin (Emini Labinot), Petkovski Petar (Kudijan Andrej), Sulejmanov Tauljant (Hristov Martin), Stojanovski Filip (Kostadinov Tihomir)
“We have played an excellent second half which was not the case in the first. We entered the match completely unfocused, made a lot of errors and our opponent capitalized. However, I want to congratulate my players who managed to get back in the play and equalized the match. They have showed a great wish and played really motivated until the end of the match” said manager Mario Vujovikj after the match.
