Macedonian U18 national team celebrated a 2:0 win in the friendly match against Azerbaijan.
Macedonia U18 hosted Azerbaijan for a friendly match today in Skopje and noted a 2:0 win. The home team took the lead as early as minute one when forward Petar Petkovski scored a goal to open the scoreline. Macedonia had couple of more chances in the first half, including Boban Georgiev hitting the post. In the second half, Azerbaijan was left playing with 10 men after one of their players was sent off after receiving a second yellow card in the 74th minute. Three minutes later, the final score was set when Valentin Kochoski successfully converted a penalty.

“It is good when the team is winning. We opened the year with a 4:1 win over Lithuania and now we are closing in on the year with another win. I am satisfied with this win but there’s always space for improving. There’s still work ahead of us and I believe in the progress of these footballers, both on technical and tactical plan.’ – said U18 manager Jeton Nesimi after the match.
