After Tuesday’s goalless draw against the older U19 national team of Malta, this time the young Macedonians faced the U17s of Malta, opponents of equal age as theirs.
Macedonian coach Mario Vujovikj made six changes in the starting 11 in order to rest some player and also give chance to those who were at the bench on Tuesday. Only Gorazt Stojmenov was not in the squad as he got injured in the first match and is even doubtful for the qualifiers.
Both teams had scoring chances but or the shots were going wide or both keepers had their day. In the 12th minute Kokollari hit the post for Macedonia and later in the match there was another post for the Macedonians.
The same teams will face against on Saturday at 18.00 CET at the same venue.
