After the poor showing against Scotland, the U17 national team held the favorite Italy to a goalless draw on Friday.
In the second game of Group 12, Macedonia managed to grab a point against the favorites for first place, Italy. After losing 3:0 to Scotland on Wednesday, the young Macedonians played much better which resulted in a hard fought draw. With this point, Macedonia stayed alive for the second position, but they must now defeat the host nation of Bulgaria in the last matchday, scheduled for this upcoming Monday.
In the other match on the schedule today, Bulgaria beat Scotland 2:0. That proved to be a good result for Macedonia.
