Macedonia has arranged another two friendlies, this time both against China, away.

Senior Macedonian national team today lost against Cameroon on a friendly in Austria, four days from now Macedonia will face Qatar in Rieti, but the Lynx won’t stop here. FIFA confirmed that Macedonia will travel to China in middle June to face the Chinese national team on two friendlies.

Probably the team will be composed of domestic based players, with few internationals. Maybe this time Mario Gjurovski will join the national team, since it is a game played in Asia and his Thai club Muangthong United mustn’t stop him to play. So far, Muangthong United was preventing him to play national team games stating that FIFA’s rule for players playing in different continents can be recalled from national team duty.

The first game is scheduled on 18 June, while the second is four days later. Both will be played in the city of Shenyang in the northeast of the country, close to the North Korean border.

Macedonia has so far faced China three times. In 2004 Macedonian was on a similar tour, but in Shanghai, recording a goalless draw and a 1:0 defeat. In 2010 in Guangzhou again China won with the same result.
