Trickovski provided two assists as APOEL recorded a 3:1 victory to get past Polish club Wisła from Kraków.
Ivan Trickovski and his club APOEL have reached the group stages of the UEFA Champions League after celebrating a 3:2 aggregate victory over Wisła. The Polish club won 1:0 in the first leg but APOEL dominated the return leg and deservedly reached the group stages of the UEFA Champions League. Trickovski played all 90 minutes and played a big part in the win with two assists, both to his teammate Ailton Almeida. Ivan played on the right wing and was active throughout the match. He also attempted two shots on goal but his effort in the 18th minute was saved by the visiting keeper and it went for a corner while his other shot in the 75th minute was also saved by the opposing keeper. Trickovski will become the second Macedonian to play in this year’s UEFA Champions League group stages, joining Goran Pandev from Inter who secured a place in the competition by finishing second in Serie A last season.
