Ivan Trichkovski has rebounded nicely from a slow start by notching two goals in today’s game between Waasland-Beveren and Gent.  Waasland-Beveren conceded an early goal and then went down to 10 men when one of their players was shown a red card in 23rd minute.  Gent took control and led 0:3 on the road until the 75th minute when Ivan reduced the deficit.  Trichkovski received a pass and scored a nice goal on a right footed shot from around 25 metes to the bottom left corner.  Ivan then added his second goal in the 90th minute when he received a long pass, controlled the ball and then fired a shot past the Gent keeper.  In the end, however, Waasland-Beveren lost 2:4.

Aleksandar Trajkovski, on the other hand, has really benefited once Mechelen named Frank Vercauteren its new manager earlier this year.  Vercauteren has shown belief in Trajkovski and Aleksandar has rewarded the manager with good, consistent performances.  Today, Trajkovski amassed one goal in Mechelen’s 2:1 victory over Kortrijk.  The goal by Aleksandar came in the 28th minute when he tapped in a shot from close range following a cross from his teammate Alessandro Cordaro.  Trajkovski nearly added a second goal in the 65th minute when he received a long pass, then managed to get to the ball before the Kortrijk keeper, before sending in a shot that was just cleared off the line by an opposing defender.
