Both of them have muscle strains, due to which they are unable to play neither on Saturday against the Faroe Islands, nor on Tuesday against Armenia. Not good new for Trajkovski at the day of his birthday, as he turned 32 yesterday.
So, Milevski flew to Torshavn with 24 instead of the planned 26 players. Despite having other 5 attackers in Bojan Miovski, Darko Churlinov, Lirim Qamili, Dimitar Mitrovski and Kristijan Trapanovski, the coach decided to add Mario Ilievski from the U21 national team. Ilievski will join the team today as he is in the Netherlands when the U21s got humiliated yesterday with 5:0 in a EURO qualifier. Ilievski is a debutante in the national team. The 22-year-old center-forward plays his club football in the Bulgarian top flight CSKA 1948, where he moved this transfer period from Hungarian side Kisvárda. He has 1 goal in 4 appearances so far this season.
The match Faroe Islands – Macedonia will be played on Saturday at 15:00 CET with a live broadcast on MRT1.
