Bad news for Tome Pacovski; photo: vandaag.beMore bad injury news for a Macedonian international after Beerschot announced that goalkeeper Tome Pacovski would undergo surgery on his foot in the coming days.

Beerschot noted on its website that Pacovski has been bothered with a foot injury for some time, but he kept on playing through the pain.  However, with the season winding down, a decision was made for Tome to undergo a foot surgery so he will be fully healthy for the start of next season.  Pacovski consulted with the coaching staff and team doctors before opting for the surgery.

With the surgery set to take place in the coming days, Pacovski will miss the final two league games for Beerschot this season.  The surgery also means that Tome will likely miss the upcoming friendly for the Macedonian national team against Portugal on 26 May in Leiria.

Beerschot did not mention how long Pacovski will be out, only saying that the foot surgery will be performed soon so Tome can be ready in time for the start of next season.
