Thomas Brdarić, a former German footballer of Croatian descent is the new manager of Shkendija. Brdarić has a respectable CV as a footballer, but as manager he is rather new. He is 41 years old and so far he has managed lower league clubs in Germany. His last club was TSV Steinbach, a club that competes in the fourth tier of German football and prior to that he has managed the second team of Wolfsburg.

Shkendija’s last manager was Bruno Akrapović with whom they had tremendous success in UEFA Europa League but are behind Vardar in the domestic championship. After he left the club, assistant manager Jeton Bekjiri led the club as interim manager and on a day before the official start of the winter preparation period, Brdarić was announced as new manager.

Shkendija are 4 points behind first-placed Vardar and also are in the Cup semi-final against the same rivals.
