You don’t have to wait for the transfer season to begin for exciting transfer rumors to circulate in the press.
One of them seems to be more than just a rumor: 34-year-old Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is said to have already started his talks with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho about what he plans to do after he ends his career as a player. Apparently, he plans to finish his coaching exams by the end of next year. He doesn’t plan to stop playing immediately – Zlat plans to play for further two or three years.
The Zlat is already a legend: he will most likely be one of the players of the 21st century to make it on the reels of a possible sequel for Shoot!. For those not familiar with the game, Shoot! is one of the many football-inspired slot machines you can play at the Royal Vegas Online Casino. The Royal Vegas has a massive collection of slots and other games, with several of them inspired by sports. But Shoot! is the only one to feature actual players on its reels – legends from the 1980s and 1990s. And if it’ll have a sequel, those who play online slot machines at Royal Vegas will most likely meet today’s football legends on its reels, and the Zlat will be one of them.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has left a few doors open in front of the 34-year-old striker, and Zlat seems to like the idea of coaching, although not necessarily becoming a manager right away. He has already started coaching younger players, with Marcus Rashford among them, giving them shooting tips in the extra training sessions.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic began his football career at the Malmo FF in the late 1990s, before moving on to Ajax, where he made a name for himself. Later he signed for Juventus but moved on to its rival, Inter Milan, in 2006. In 2009, he transferred to Barca, but he moved on from there soon enough – in the next season he went on to play at A. C. Milan. But this wasn’t his final destination either – he signed to PSG in July 2012, where he stayed for four years, before moving on to Manchester United. Could this club be the final one in his playing career?
During his years as a player so far, Zlat has become a legend. He is often compared to Dutch striker Marco van Basten, due to his signature playing style and acrobatic finishes. In 2013, he was ranked by The Guardian as the third best player in the world, behind Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo. In his home country, he is considered the second greatest sportsman ever, second to none but tennis player Bjorn Borg.
