At the beginning of September, Macedonia will have a special honor to host one of the greatest national team’s supporters, the Scottish group called the Tartan Army. They will be coming for the World Cup 2010 qualification match Macedonia – Scotland that will be played on September the 6th on Gradski stadium in Skopje.
Bregalnica Stip back in the 2nd League
Although FK Bregalnica Stip was relegated into the 3rd League East, they regained a spot in the 2nd League and will play there next season as well. FK Alumina Skopje is the team that gave up their place to Bregalnica.
Macedonia – Serbia 1:1
The Macedonian national football team started 2008 with a 1:1 draw on the friendly match against the 27th FIFA ranked team, the national team of the neighboring Serbia.

The set of matches between the Skopje rivals Rabotnicki and Vardar continued today with the first leg matches of the Macedonian Cup quarterfinals. The hosts won all 3 matches, while Ilinden didn't appear on the match against Nov Milenium.
